At BridgeX, venture capital is all about the people behind great ideas.
Dogakan is the founding partner of BridgeX Ventures, investing in early-stage startups across the value chain of AI, with a focus on two of the world’s leading entrepreneurial ecosystems in Silicon Valley: Berkeley and Stanford.
Prior to BridgeX, he spent a decade as a management consultant at Deloitte, leading corporate strategy and analytics initiatives for Fortune 500 companies including Apple, Adobe, Walmart, Kohl’s, Google, Nike, Macy’s, Target, and Activision Blizzard. He also co-founded Crea, an AI-powered product development studio.
A true globetrotter, Dogakan has lived and worked in Germany, Turkey, Spain, the United Kingdom, China, and the United States. During his graduate studies at UC Berkeley, he co-founded Courtyard Ventures, the first student-led venture capital fund at Haas School of Business. In that ecosystem, he also served as president of the Berkeley Entrepreneurs Association and contributed as a business strategist at Berkeley SkyDeck, supporting its global expansion to Europe and Japan.
Dogakan serves as an advisor for Berkeley SkyDeck, Endeavor, and US Market Access. He co-founded Global Turks AI, a think tank for the Turkish AI ecosystem in Silicon Valley, and serves as a board member at ETAC USA. Dogakan holds a BS in Engineering from Sabanci University and an MBA from UC Berkeley (Go BEARS!), where he is a guest lecturer for the Venture Capital course at Haas School of Business. He is the proud father of two incredible kids and a goofy pup.
