Dogakan Toka

Dogakan is the founding partner of BridgeX Ventures, investing in early stage startups across the value chain of AI, with a focus on two of the world’s leading entrepreneurial ecosystems, Berkeley and Stanford.

Prior to BridgeX, Dogakan co-founded Crea, an AI-powered product development studio for Silicon Valley startups. Before that, he spent a decade as a management consultant, leading corporate strategy and analytics initiatives for Fortune 500 companies including Apple, Adobe, Walmart, Kohl’s, Google, Nike, Macy’s, Target, Activision Blizzard.

A true globetrotter, Dogakan has lived and worked in Germany, Turkey, Spain, the United Kingdom, China, and the United States. During his graduate studies at UC Berkeley, he co-founded Courtyard Ventures, the first student-led venture capital fund at Haas School of Business. In that ecosystem, he also served as president of the Berkeley Entrepreneurs Association and as a business strategist at Berkeley SkyDeck, where he supported the program's global expansion to Europe and Japan.

Dogakan serves as an advisor for Berkeley SkyDeck, Endeavor Global, and US Market Access Center. He has also co-founded Global Turks AI, a think tank for the Turkish AI ecosystem in Silicon Valley, and serves as a board member at ETAC USA. Dogakan holds a BS in Engineering from Sabanci University and an MBA from UC Berkeley (Go BEARS!), where he is a guest lecturer for the Venture Capital course at Haas School of Business. He is the proud father of two incredible kids and a goofy pup.
